A. OVERALL PROJECTION

This is the ninth year of the Lower “8” Cycle of the world. Based on I-Jing, while the period between 1984 and 2043 (totaling 60 years) is “Fire-Wind Urn”, the year 2012 is “Earth-Thunder Restart”.

I-Jing Analysis

“Earth-Thunder Restart” contains 5 “Yin’s” and 1 “Yang”. The “yang” is just beginning. Hence this is a year of major changes. This is like the “yin” (negativity) reaching an end. Hence the “yang” (positivity) is taking over. In life, all things must reach the bottom before they can bounce back up. This is a year of changes, adjustments, new directions and new strategies.

In 2011, there had been a rumor/speculation that the world would end in 2012. According to I-Jing, there is definitely no such happening. It was strictly someone or cult’s stirring up for attention. On the contrary, we will see new directions for the better in the world.

Life Chart Analysis

This year is composed of “water dragon” year, “water tiger” month, “wooden sheep” day and “wooden rooster” hour. It is missing the fire element. Hence the best elements for this year are “fire, earth and metal”. Being negative are “water and wood”. Energy and hi-tech fields will continue to do well, so as real estate, metals, especially gold and silver. Travel and textile sectors would be unstable. There is no root for this year, causing most things to be unstable and unpredictable.

Flying-Star Analysis

The “6-white” star is the controlling force of this year. This sign represents wealth and mobility. In the current “8” cycle it represents big wealth, when combined with “1”. To interpret it, it means northern and central countries would prosper. The central I-Jing code is “Heaven-Mountain Withdraw”, hinting that western countries would still be withdrawn. Some countries may be at the brink of bankruptcy. However, Middle East countries may bounce back strongly.

The following would outline an analysis of orientations, businesses, politics, economies, climates and health, totaling 6 important factors affecting all of us.

Locations and Orientations

Central (positive)

The controlling force is the central “Heaven-Mountain Withdraw” trigram. Heaven above Mountain, indicating metal trapped in the mountains. This means western countries would be trapped in their financial crisis. This I-Jing trigram has 4 “yangs” and 2 “yins”. “Yang” represents motion and “yin” represents rest. Hence western countries would have to go through many changes, such as policy changes and replacements of leadership. The stock markets would have to go through huge swings. On the contrary, central countries such as the Middle East may have their politics stabilized and go through a period of rebuilding.

East (moderate)

This is the “4-green” learning center. It favors learning, research and creation. Typical countries are Japan and eastern places, Last year, Japan suffered from its historical major earthquake. This year it may have many breakthroughs. Even in regions such as Scarborough in Greater Toronto, Canada, it may witness outstanding scholars. However, the I-Jing trigram for the east is “Wind-Heaven Big Reserve”. It has 2 Yang’s on the top, 3 at the bottom and 1 Yin in its center, meaning many eastern countries and regions till have potential problems.

South-East (very negative)

This is the “5-yellow” center, representing major problems. Economies would swing in big margins. There may be many major illnesses, robberies and political controversies. However, “5-yellow” is also the earthiest of earth. If the place is on a high life cycle, it may actually enjoy huge advance such as real estate. The instability factor, however, would still exist. Representing places are such as Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Ontario in Canada.

South (positive)

This is governed by the “1-white” star and is the “3-conflict” center. This is a doubled-edged sword. On one hand, it represents romances and happy events such as marriage. On the other hand, it points at robberies or legal conflicts. It is represented by countries South America and Africa.
However, its I-Jing trigram is a positive one – a restarting process for the better of things. Indeed, most southern countries would experience better economy. Southern China would see its economy reviving and expanding.

South-West (half-half)

This is the “3-blue” center. This is the center for arguments and controversies. Places such as Tibet and Xinjiang in China, Spain and Portugal may have such issues.

West (positive)

This is the “8-white” money center. It hints that western countries may begin to exit from the bottom of economy, albeit still an unstable process. Its I-Jing trigram is “Mountain-Water Foggy”. Hence the recovery is still somewhat shaky.

North-West (negative)

This is the “7-Red” center. In these regions, there would be plenty of controversies, robberies and legal conflicts. Meanwhile, many new ideas and policies would also come out there. They can be represented by Northern Europe, North-West China, and Canada’s Alberta. Within North-West Toronto (Canada), there would be a surge of crimes.

North (negative)

This is the “2-black” illness center. Many sources of illness may originate from there, especially food. However, the I-Jing trigram is “Earth-Wind Rise”. Northern countries such as Canada and Russia would enjoy positive economic growth.

North-East (very positive)

This is the “9-Violet” Happiness center. It represents happy events such as marriage and prosperity. Its I-Jing trigram is “Fire-Earth Advance”. North-Eastern regions would be prone to fire, earth quake or volcanoes. In Canada, for example, Quebec’s economic would improve. However, there would be old building structure collapsing. In USA, New York and Boston would see their economy bounce back.

Analysis of Businesses

Business involving “fire, earth or metal” would do well. Those involving “water or wood” had to work much harder.

This is a year of movements and relocations. Real estate may tend to be very unbalanced. While some regions would prosper, other regions may stagnate.

Real Estate

Despite its uneven development, it is still the overall best investment, especially in growing countries such as China and Canada. In China, Welling doing places may include Inner Mongolia, Beijing, North-Eastern Provinces, Xianxi and Guangdong. Real Estate in USA remains slow and unstable. Hewlett Packard, RIM and many traditional cellular phone companies may run into more troubles. Tablet computers would cover more and more of the laptop computer functions.

Medical

This is a year of breakthroughs. New treatments would be available for terminal illnesses such as cancer and many others. Stem Cell research would hold the key too many treatments.

Food

There may be food problems originated from the north and south-east regions. In major cities, restaurants may be even more polarized. Both high end and low ends would prosper. Those targeting the middle may have to suffer.

Metals

Metals would do very well; especially high value ones such as gold and silver. Gold would pass USD $2000 per oz and silver beyond $50. Other metals such as copper would also be in demand.

Travel

Competition in the travel sector would be fierce. Some new comers may not survive. Those specializing in southern or central counties would be more prosperous.

Textile

There may be problems in the clothing sector. New and extraordinary styles would be in place. Once again controversies would come back in the lumbar industry.

The stock market would continue to swing violently. Banks would fare better than the previous year. Precious metals sector would prevail. However, the oil sector may stay low.

The governing sign “6-White”, plus the central trigram “Earth-Thunder Restart” indicate that the world would be slightly more stable than the past year.

After suffering from years of world turmoil, USA and many European countries would have to recoup and develop new policies. Hence they would have lesser resource to intervene affairs of other countries. Canada would remain very stable, with its policies more or less the same. In USA, there is a swing back toward the right. Hence the Democratic Party may have trouble clinging on to power. There would be new leadership in China. More policies would be set up to conquer problems such as corruption. Consequently, many high officials may have to step down. Hong Kong suffers from the “5-Yellow” force. There would be lots of problems among political parties. Besides, Hong Kong may experience falling buildings and industrial accidents at a record level. Taiwan would also suffer many natural disasters, grossly challenging the governing parties.

Southern countries such as India, Africa and South America would have to go through some political changes.

Western countries such as Europe and USA may go through many leadership changes. They would still be searching new directions.

Analysis of World Economy

The governing sign “6-White” is a change sign. Although better than the past year, the world economy would still be unstable. China remains the only country with big advances, still exceeding 10% growth.

India would sustain its growth around 5%.

USA’s recovery would have new directions to stimulate its sagging economy. It would be led by both hi-tech and automobile industries.

Canada would benefit from its influx of immigrants, especially those from China and Middle East. Its major bases would be in the sectors of energy and land development.

Russia’s economy seems to be less affected by the rest of the world. It would continue to grow at a steady pace.

Japan would recover much from past year’s disasters. There would new developments especially in the automobile sector.

Europe’s economy would be led by Germany. Countries would be showing high level of unbalance among each other. Those in the north and west would do better than those in the south or south-west.

Southern countries such as South America, Africa would be very unstable.

Interest rates would continue to stay low, world-wide.

Canadian Economy

• Fiscal deficits would be under better control at all levels of governments
• Interest rates will stay low and prime rates will fluctuate between 2-4%
• Can $ would be more or less at par with the US dollar.
• TSX should fluctuate between 11,000 and 13,000 points
• Corporations would continue to be leaner and meaner with consolidation and centralized control

The world would continue to experience many earthquake and volcano activities, especially in north-eastern regions. North-western regions would see more fire disasters. There would be many thunder storms. This would be a very hot year, especially in central countries such as China and Middle East. Southern regions may suffer from flooding. Eastern regions have more wind problems.

Analysis of World Health

Most illnesses may be related to the upper respiratory system. Most illnesses would originate from the north and south-east. Northern countries may see more problems with food, while eastern countries suffer more from contagious illnesses.

The Construct Canada Homebuilder & Renovator Expo 2009 has come to a successful end. We thank you all for dropping by and participated in the lucky draw for the Sony 32″ LCD TV.

We showcased some of our most popular promotional items and marketing tools during those three days and got some very valuable feedback.

Not to mention our outstanding and memorable safety apparel was definitely one of the highlights during the show. We even met the all time favorite Hockey player, Johnny Bower!
